1 Corinthians 2:6-16 — God's Wisdom Revealed by the Spirit

1Cor.2.6-16

⁶Yet we do speak wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are being brought to nothing. ⁷Instead, we speak God's wisdom in a mystery, the hidden wisdom that God predestined before the ages for our glory. ⁸None of the rulers of this age has known it; for if they had known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. ⁹But as it is written: “What no eye has seen, and no ear has heard, and has not arisen in the human heart—what God has prepared for those who love him.” ¹⁰For to us God has revealed it through the Spirit . For the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. ¹¹For who among people knows a person's thoughts except the person's own spirit within him? So also no one has known the things of God except the Spirit of God. ¹²Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit from God, so that we might know the things graciously given to us by God. ¹³These are also the things we speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in words taught by the Spirit , explaining spiritual things to spiritual people . ¹⁴But the natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he is not able to know them, because they are spiritually discerned. ¹⁵But the spiritual person discerns all things, yet he himself is discerned by no one. ¹⁶For “who has known the mind of the Lord, so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.
