2 Corinthians 9:6-15 — Generosity and Its Results
2Cor.9.6-15
6Now remember this: the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7Each one must give just as he has decided in his heart, not out of regret or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver. 8And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things, at all times, having all sufficiency, you may abound in every good work. 9As it is written: “He has scattered abroad, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever.” 10Now he who abundantly supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing, and will increase the harvest of your righteousness. 11You will be enriched in every way for all generosity, which produces thanksgiving to God through us. 12For the ministry of this public service is not only fully supplying the needs of the saints, but is also overflowing through many expressions of thanksgiving to God. 13Because of the proof provided by this ministry, they will glorify God for your obedience to your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for the generosity of your sharing with them and with everyone. 14And in their prayers for you, they will yearn for you because of the surpassing grace of God upon you. 15Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift !
