2 Corinthians 11:1-15Paul and the False Apostles

2Cor.11.1-15
1I wish you would put up with me in a little foolishness ; but indeed, you do put up with me. 2For I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy, because I betrothed you to one husband, in order to present you as a pure virgin to Christ. 3But I am afraid that somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your minds might be corrupted from the simplicity and the purity of devotion to Christ. 4For if someone comes and preaches another Jesus whom we did not preach, or if you receive a different spirit which you did not receive, or a different gospel which you did not accept, you put up with it beautifully . 5For I consider myself in no way inferior to these 'super-apostles'. 6But even if I am unskilled in speech, yet I am not in knowledge; rather, in every way we have made this clear to you in all things. 7Or did I commit a sin in humbling myself so that you might be exalted, because I preached the gospel of God to you free of charge? 8I robbed other churches by taking wages from them for my ministry to you. 9And when I was present with you and in need, I was not a burden to anyone; for the brothers who came from Macedonia fully supplied my need. And in everything I kept myself from being a burden to you, and I will keep myself so. 10As the truth of Christ is in me, this boasting of mine will not be silenced in the regions of Achaia. 11Why? Because I do not love you? God knows. 12But what I am doing, I will also continue to do, in order to cut off the opportunity of those who desire an opportunity, so that in the matter of which they boast, they may be found just as we are. 13For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. 14And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15It is no great surprise, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be according to their works.
