Hebrews 7:11-28Jesus Like Melchizedek

Heb.7.11-28
11Now if perfection was attainable through the Levitical priesthood (for on the basis of it the people received the law), what further need was there for another priest to arise according to the order of Melchizedek, and not be named according to the order of Aaron? 12For when the priesthood is changed, of necessity a change of law also occurs. 13For the one about whom these things are said belongs to a different tribe, from which no one has officiated at the altar. 14For it is evident that our Lord has sprung from Judah, a tribe about which Moses spoke nothing concerning priests. 15And it is yet more abundantly evident, if another priest arises according to the likeness of Melchizedek, 16who has become a priest not according to a law of a physical commandment, but according to the power of an indestructible life. 17For it is testified of him: “You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.” 18For on the one hand, a setting aside of a former commandment occurs because of its weakness and uselessness 19(for the law perfected nothing), and on the other hand, there is an introduction of a better hope, through which we draw near to God. 20And inasmuch as it was not without an oath—for they indeed have become priests without an oath, 21but he became a priest with an oath through the one who said to him: “The Lord swore and will not change his mind, ‘You are a priest forever’” — 22by so much also Jesus has become the guarantee of a better covenant. 23And they indeed have become many in number as priests, because they are prevented by death from continuing; 24but he, because he remains forever, holds his priesthood permanently. 25Therefore he is also able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to intercede for them. 26For such a high priest was indeed fitting for us: holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners, and having become exalted above the heavens; 27who does not have a daily need, like the high priests, to offer up sacrifices first for his own sins, then for those of the people; for he did this once for all when he offered up himself. 28For the law appoints men as high priests who have weakness, but the word of the oath, which came after the law, appoints a Son who has been perfected forever.
