Song of Solomon 7:10-8:4 — The Bride's Longing
Song.7.10-8.4
10And your palate is like the best wine, going down smoothly for my beloved, gliding over the lips of those who sleep. 11I belong to my beloved, and his desire is for me. 12Come, my beloved, let us go out into the field; let us lodge in the villages. 13Let us go early to the vineyards; let us see if the vine has budded, if the blossom has opened, and if the pomegranates are in bloom. There I will give you my love .
Chapter 8
1Oh that you were like a brother to me, who nursed at my mother's breasts! If I found you outside, I would kiss you , and no one would despise me. 2I would lead you and bring you into the house of my mother, who would instruct me . I would give you spiced wine to drink, from the nectar of my pomegranate. 3His left hand is under my head, and his right hand embraces me. 4I adjure you, O daughters of Jerusalem: do not stir up or awaken love until it pleases .
