Song of Solomon 2:8-17 — The Bride's Dream
Song.2.8-17
8The voice of my beloved! Look, he is coming, leaping over the mountains, bounding over the hills. 9My beloved is like a gazelle or a young stag. Look, he is standing behind our wall, gazing through the windows, peering through the lattice. 10My beloved spoke and said to me, "Arise, my darling, my beautiful one, and come away. 11For look, the winter is past; the rain is over and gone. 12The blossoms appear in the land; the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land. 13The fig tree ripens its early figs, and the vines in blossom give forth their fragrance. Arise, my darling, my beautiful one, and come away." 14My dove, in the clefts of the rock, in the hiding places of the cliff, let me see your face, let me hear your voice; for your voice is sweet, and your face is lovely. 15Catch the foxes for us, the little foxes that ruin the vineyards, for our vineyards are in blossom. 16My beloved is mine, and I am his; he pastures his flock among the lilies. 17Until the day breathes and the shadows flee, turn, my beloved, and be like a gazelle or a young stag on the mountains of Bether .
