1 Peter 1:13-25Be Holy

1Pet.1.13-25
13Therefore, gird up the loins of your mind , be sober-minded, and set your hope fully on the grace that is being brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 14As children of obedience, do not conform to the passions of your former ignorance, 15but according to the Holy One who called you, you yourselves also become holy in all your conduct, 16because it is written: “You shall be holy, because I am holy.” 17And if you call on the Father who judges impartially according to each one's work, then conduct yourselves in fear during the time of your stay as foreigners, 18knowing that you were redeemed from your empty way of life handed down from your fathers, not with perishable things like silver or gold, 19but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. 20He was foreknown indeed before the foundation of the world, but was revealed at the end of the times for your sake, 21who through him are believers in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God. 22Having purified your souls by obedience to the truth for a sincere love of the brothers, love one another fervently from the heart , 23since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God. 24For, "All flesh is like grass, and all its glory like the flower of the grass. The grass withered, and the flower fell, 25but the word of the Lord remains forever." And this is the word that was proclaimed as good news to you.
