Micah 2:1-13Woe to Oppressors; Deliverance Promised

Mic.2.1-13
1Woe to those who devise wickedness and work evil on their beds! At morning light they carry it out, because it lies in the power of their hand. 2They covet fields and seize them, and houses and take them away; they oppress a man and his house, a man and his inheritance. 3Therefore thus says the LORD: Behold, I am devising disaster against this clan, from which you will not remove your necks; you will not walk proudly, for it will be an evil time. 4On that day they will take up a taunt against you and lament a bitter lament, saying, 'We are completely ruined! He changes the portion of my people. How he removes it from me! He divides our fields among traitors.' 5Therefore you will have no one to cast a measuring line by lot in the assembly of the LORD. 6“Do not preach ,” they say. “One must not preach about such things; disgrace will not overtake us.” 7Should it be said, O house of Jacob, 'Has the Spirit of the LORD grown short? Are these his deeds?' Do not my words do good to the one who walks uprightly? 8But recently my people have risen up like an enemy; you strip the robe from those who pass by in security, men returning from war. 9You drive the women of my people out from their pleasant homes; from their children you take away my splendor forever. 10Rise up and go, for this is not the place of rest; because of uncleanness it brings destruction, a grievous destruction. 11If a man walking in wind and falsehood should lie, saying, 'I will preach to you of wine and strong drink,' he would be just the preacher for this people. 12I will surely gather all of you, O Jacob; I will surely assemble the remnant of Israel. I will put them together like sheep in Bozrah , like a flock in the midst of its pasture; they will be noisy with people. 13The one who breaks through goes up before them; they break through and pass through the gate and go out by it. Their king passes through before them, and the LORD is at their head.
