Malachi 4:1-6 — The Day of the Lord
Mal.4.1-6
1For behold, the day is coming, burning like a furnace, when all the arrogant and every evildoer will be stubble. The coming day will burn them up, says the LORD of Hosts, leaving them neither root nor branch. 2But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings, and you will go out and skip like calves let out from the stall. 3You will trample the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day when I act, says the LORD of Hosts. 4Remember the law of my servant Moses, which I commanded him at Horeb for all Israel—statutes and ordinances. 5Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD. 6He will turn the hearts of parents to their children, and the hearts of children to their parents, lest I come and strike the land with utter destruction .
