Colossians 1:15-23 — The Supremacy of the Son of God

Col.1.15-23

¹⁵He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation . ¹⁶For in him all things were created, in the heavens and on the earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. ¹⁷And he himself is before all things, and in him all things hold together. ¹⁸And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that in all things he himself might have the preeminence. ¹⁹For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, ²⁰and through him to reconcile all things to himself, having made peace through the blood of his cross; through him, whether things on the earth or things in the heavens. ²¹And you, who were once alienated and enemies in your mind by your evil deeds, ²²yet now he has reconciled you in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him— ²³if indeed you continue in the faith, established and steadfast, and not shifted away from the hope of the gospel that you heard, which has been proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, became a servant.
