2 Timothy 3:1-9 — Godlessness in the Last Days
2Tim.3.1-9
1But know this: in the last days difficult times will come. 2For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3without natural affection, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, savage, without love of good, 4treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5having an appearance of godliness but denying its power. Avoid these people. 6For among these are those who creep into households and capture vulnerable women weighed down with sins and led along by various desires, 7always learning and never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. 8And just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these people oppose the truth—people corrupted in mind, disqualified regarding the faith. 9But they will not advance further, for their folly will become plainly evident to everyone, just as the folly of those men also became evident.
