A certain woman, called Eunice;
being one of them that had
believed
in Christ in Judea, and had a holy woman to her mother, named Lois.
His father was a Greek:
although it was not lawful for a Jew to marry a woman of another nation, yet some think that a Jewess might marry to a stranger, as Esther married to Ahasuerus.
A Greek;
of Gentile extraction, and therefore not circumcised; yet he is accounted to have been a proselyte.
