Obadiah 1:15-21 — The Day of the Lord; Israel's Restoration
Obad.1.15-21
15For the day of the LORD is near upon all the nations. As you have done, it will be done to you; your recompense will return upon your head. 16For as you drank on my holy mountain, so all the nations will drink continually; they will drink and swallow, and they will be as though they had never been. 17But on Mount Zion there will be deliverance, and it will be holy, and the house of Jacob will possess their inheritance. 18The house of Jacob will be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau will be stubble; they will set them ablaze and consume them, and there will be no survivor for the house of Esau, for the LORD has spoken. 19Those of the Negev will possess the mountain of Esau, and those of the Shephelah will possess the land of the Philistines; they will possess the field of Ephraim and the field of Samaria, and Benjamin will possess Gilead. 20The exiles of this host of the children of Israel will possess the land of the Canaanites as far as Zarephath, and the exiles of Jerusalem who are in Sepharad will possess the cities of the Negev. 21Deliverers will ascend Mount Zion to judge the mountain of Esau, and the kingdom will be the LORD's.
