3 John 1:9-14 — Opposition and Commendation
3John.1.9-14
9I wrote something to the church, but Diotrephes, who loves to be first among them, does not welcome us. 10For this reason, if I come, I will call attention to the deeds he is doing, slandering us with wicked words; and not content with these things, he himself does not welcome the brothers, and he hinders those who want to do so and puts them out of the church. 11Beloved, do not imitate evil but good. The one who does good is from God; the one who does evil has not seen God. 12Demetrius has received testimony from everyone, and from the truth itself. We also testify, and you know that our testimony is true. 13I had many things to write to you, but I do not want to write to you with pen and ink. 14But I hope to see you soon, and we will speak face to face .
